I am using template 1 and I have selected to show the excerpt position at bottom but why it’s still showing on left ?

Did you change Overlay size after changing Excerpt Position to ‘bottom’?
You have to change the value of ‘Overlay size’ option to width 100% and adjust height to your desired height.
